What this looks likeTherapy here is collaborative and practical. In the first session we agree on what you want to be different, then we work toward it in weekly 45-minute sessions. You should be able to say what you are working on and whether it is moving.
The approaches we use most often are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for young children and their parents, interpersonal psychotherapy, and psychodynamic work. Which of those you get depends on who you are and what you came in with, not on a house formula.
In person at our second-floor office at 420 W. Baseline Rd, Suite D in Glendora, on Baseline Road near Grand Avenue with easy access to the 210 freeway. We also offer telehealth, which is available to anyone located in California.
We see children from about age 3, adolescents, and adults. We do not prescribe medication, and we are not a crisis or emergency service. If what you need falls outside what we do well, we will tell you on the phone and point you toward a better fit rather than book the appointment.
Call the office and describe what is going on. We will tell you which service fits, roughly how long it takes, and what it costs.
