Frequently asked questions
Fees, insurance, location, telehealth and how to get started.
Where are you located?
We are located in the beautiful community of Glendora within Los Angeles County, on Baseline Road and Grand Avenue, with easy access to the 210 freeway. We have a spacious second-floor office and offer the use of telehealth when preferred. Our address is 420 W. Baseline Rd, Suite D, Glendora, CA 91740.
What are your fees?
Standard session rates for Dr. Franks are currently $300 for the initial one-hour intake session and $250 for weekly 45-minute sessions. Standard rates for other associate therapists in the office range from $150 to $200 per session. All rates are subject to change and are confirmed when the first appointment is scheduled.
Do you accept insurance?
No. We accept private payment directly from clients, and we can provide a superbill you may submit to a PPO plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
How do I make a first appointment?
Call the office at (626) 513-8831. If you reach voicemail, leave your name, a number, and a good time to reach you. You can also send a message through the contact page, though calling is faster.
How long is a session?
The first appointment is one hour. Ongoing appointments are 45 minutes, usually weekly.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth is available to clients located anywhere in California, and many families use a mix of in-person and video sessions.
What ages do you work with?
We see children from about age 3, adolescents, and adults.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Psychologists in California do not prescribe. If medication is worth considering, we will talk with you about it and coordinate with your physician or a psychiatrist with your permission.
Can my child and I both be clients?
Often yes, usually with different therapists in the practice so the roles stay clear. Ask when you call.
What if I need help right now?
This practice is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day. In Los Angeles County you can also call the ACCESS line at (800) 854-7771.
